Xesturgy: the process of polishing, as with stones.

Behold the xesturgical goodness gleaming!

Whenever I think about polishing, I think about shine… and whenever I hear the word shine, I think about the Chrysler Building. Why? Because I grew up in the 80s and knew every single word to this movie and shun all the attempts to remake it:

As a writer, this also has a place. Because writing your first draft isn’t enough. You need to revise and rewrite, and continue polishing up your work until it shines! (like the top of the Chrysler Building!)

I love you Miss Hannagan!

My X Read: The Devotion of Suspect X. I know that I listed this earlier this month (Under D, I believe.) But this is really an awesome book. The author’s first foray into the US market.

My X Listen: Opus X – Loving You Girl – – Xtra important Disclaimer: This is not an endorsement of this song (which isn’t all that bad in a 1980something sort of way), but rather an invitation to take a look at the video. What I took away: A few times in the video the singers look like soulless demons with empty black vortex eyes. And what’s with the matching facial hairs? O_o

  1. Thanks! I have found the z-to-z to be quite enlightening as I discover some new words myself.

Carrie – you totally should go see it. Although, nothing can even come close to the movie. *sigh*

  2. Wow, what a creative word! I definitely learned something today. Very interesting! Thank you for following, my dear, and you have a new follower as well. :-)
