I planned to share another Monday Memo full of fun stuff for the week, but I remain mindful of all the madness going on in Japan. I read this morning on one of the news sites that more than 2,000 bodies washed up on the shore. The death toll is unconfirmed but they are now saying 10,000 souls were lost.

Life does go on, and if you’re reading this from the warmth and comfort of your house of the local coffee shop, then you have a whole lotta stuff to be grateful for today, but I hope you’ll remain in this place of wonder and fear for all of the people who are without. Many are still without drinkable water or shelter or information or hope or loved ones in Japan.

If you can give money, then consider a donation to these fabulous organizations:

The Red Cross –  Text REDCROSS to 90999 to donate $10

If you cannot give, please pray.  Pray to your God, pray to the Universe, pray to the Air. The world needs good healing thoughts today and every day.  We are all connected.

  1. Thank you, Corinne, for this poignant reminder to be grateful for what we have. I’m taking part in Author for Japan, which I hope will raise some money to help ease the suffering.
